Elise Anthieren
Psychologist
Registered Psychologist
Elise helps neurodiverse children, teens and adults, and the families who support them, with practical, evidence-based care that fits real life.
How Elise's can help
Elise works with people across the lifespan affected by ADHD, autism, anxiety and challenges with emotional regulation. She supports children through therapy combined with parent consultation, offers parent counselling, and helps adults navigating a new diagnosis and related mental health concerns. Her focus is on strategies families can use at home, at school and in daily routines.
Elise's approach
Elise is person-centred and strengths-based. She takes time to understand each client's unique experience, then builds on what's already working. She integrates CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, and uses art and play when it helps clients express themselves. Her goal is for clients and families to feel understood, empowered and equipped to thrive.
Background & Training
Elise has spent more than a decade supporting neurodiverse children and their families through FSCD-funded services. She holds a Master of Counselling from the University of Lethbridge. Her undergraduate research focused on dyslexia and the development of reading skills in children, reflecting a long-standing interest in learning differences and child development.
